Intensity per rupee of turnover (PPP-adjusted)
An intensity ratio introduced with BRSR Core: an absolute quantity divided by the company's turnover in rupees, with turnover adjusted for purchasing power parity (PPP).
SEBI’s July 2023 BRSR Core circular introduced intensity ratios per rupee of turnover adjusted for purchasing power parity (PPP).
An intensity ratio divides an absolute quantity, for example total energy consumed, by a measure of activity. Here the denominator is the company’s turnover in rupees, adjusted for PPP. The adjustment makes an Indian company’s intensity easier to compare with companies reporting in other economies.
Use the definitions and the conversion basis given in the BRSR Core format (Annexure I to the July 2023 circular, now Annexure 17A of SEBI’s LODR master circular). Record the turnover figure and the PPP conversion you applied, so the ratio can be re-performed.
